About the event
Join us at the MAC for their homeschool day! Homeschool students of all ages will enjoy drop-in art activities, special Campbell House activity stations, and access to all the open galleries. Their current exhibit: Step into the world of knights, tournaments, and armor with Iron & Honor: The Art of Knighthood. On loan from the renowned Stibbert Museum in Florence, Italy, this extraordinary exhibition features more than 80 rare objects, including complete suits of armor, helmets, swords, shields, and tournament equipment dating from the 15th through the 17th centuries.
Join local ceramic artist Risa Rubin for a drop-in workshop handbuilding your own ceramic charms. You will use clay cookie cutters and underglaze paints to create your own unique ceramic charms that can be worn as jewelry, keychains, or even on a collar for your pets.
