There is so much to unpack in Ephesians I don't know what to pick that stood out the most, so I think I will go with the final lines I underlined.
Ephs 6:19-20 "and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak."
Paul was imprisoned and asking for prayer that he would continue to speak the truth of the gospel without fear of the consequences.
Do I speak the truth boldly? Do I stand for the gospel when surrounded by those that I know do not share my faith? Do I seek to explain the mystery of a God who loves us despite our resistance of Him?
I want to stand with God, Matthew 10:39 "If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it."
To quote CS Lewis "Only a real risk tests the reality of the belief."
When I am tested and facing real loss, I pray that I stand strong and boldly speak for Him.
