And so it begins...

I hope everyone had an amazing summer. Camping trips, beach days, parks and sprinklers, sport camps, VBS, birthday parties and fireworks.

You might be eager for routine to start up again or still enjoying the outdoor without scheduled commitments. Regardless the school year is upon us. With field trips, class projects, textbooks and novels.

I long for the rhythm that comes with the school year, yet know that with it comes many regular commitments which consume majority of my time. Things that I love and some things that I tolerate because it's not all about me, and it's not all about my kids (though they often think that it is), it's about Christ. It is about using this time that I get with my kids to honor Him and do as I have been instructed.

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. Deuteronomy 6:7

Homework September 5th

At Arrows we know the first week can be overwhelming as we navigate getting back into school work responsibilities. With this in mind we do our best to ease you into the workload.

Go to the groups page on the Arrows website, join the classes your kids are in so that you can access homework assignments and have discussions with others.

8th - 12th grade students have three classes with homework starting September 5th.

5th - 7th grade students only have two classes with homework starting September 5th.

Colossians 3:23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Parents

Parents need to read the schedule carefully, if you are at all unsure of where you are supposed to be during your working hours please contact me before our first day September 11th.

It is crucial to how we function as a co-op for you to be in your class on time, every time.

If you have questions about expectations for your classes contact your team lead. Your team lead is also who you need to notify for any absence; planned or due to sickness.

Join our Bible Challenge group. Share insight, ask questions and enjoy the encouragement that comes with accountability. Starting late or miss a day? No worries, just find the date and jump in there, no need to back track and try to catch up.

Printed copies of the reading plan will be available on the first day of co-op September 11th.

School Pictures!

Sharon Rohrenbach of ThreeB Photography will be at Arrows Monday, September 25th to take pictures. Want a picture of each of your kids individually or one of all of them together? No problem! Sharon does amazing work and truly cares about quality pictures for families. Sign up with Cherish on the first day of co-op.

Check out our upcoming field trips.

Big Red Barn is a great place for kids preschool and up. All ages find enjoyment feeding animals and checking out the reptile room. And who doesn't want to hold a ferret?

Spokane Water Resource Center is for older students 5th - 12th grade. This is an interactive field trip where kids (and parents) learn how the city manages water waste. It is important to educate ourselves on how our cities operate.
