On Monday we started a new quarter with new electives for our older kids. I am teaching a few classes this quarter and being reminded how much I love getting to know your kids! They are so intelligent and unique. Each one has their own special way of looking at things. It has been my goal as a homeschool mom to reach my own kids on a personal level, to teach them in the individual way they see the world.
I came across this article while trying to decide what math curriculum will be best for my 9 year old. We have had so many transitions and finding what will encourage and motivate her has been high on my list of priorities. I hope it helps others that might be searching for the same answers.
I also want to remind you to support the other families at co-op. We often think that out of so many people someone else has probably got it covered. But the truth is, 90% of the people are thinking that same thing. Matthew 25:40 “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’
We are saying farewell to Nichole Friese and her kids Aliyah, Asher & Adley. This is bittersweet as we will miss them dearly, but I know firsthand the importance of being near family. Be sure to say goodbye as we only have them two more weeks as they wait for the final closing date on their home. Nichole, we will be praying for your family as you travel back to Wisconsin to be closer to loved ones.
Christmas Play practice has begun! If you have a kid in the Christmas program make sure you are a part of the "Christmas Play" group on the app. Important information will be communicated through this avenue.
Be sure to check out the up coming field trips. We have Cataldo Mission, Eagle Watch Cruise & a The Best Christmas Pageant Ever in Spokane.
